I interrupt this Decor blog for a moment today.

My little grand dog Penny went to her heavenly doggie home yesterday.

My daughter Kimmie and little Penny that we affectionately called PenPen.

My daughter lost her little buddy and companion yesterday and Terry and I lost our little grand dog.

Penny had a back issue that come on suddenly and progressed quickly and involved several disc's in her back.
Kimmie and the Neuro Surgeon fought hard to help her but
in the end she was not able to be whole again.

Penny was 5 years old and gave all of our family such joy and love.  We will miss her.

  8. Kris, I'm so sorry for all you, and especially Kimmie. So young, her little Penny, but I realize the back issues are common in doxies. Glad you all will be together this weekend to comfort each other.

    1. Oh Lisa then you know what sweet little dogs they are. We all will miss her so much. She was a great little dog and my daughter is having a hard time. Penny was like her little child.
We just could not keep her from always jumping up on furniture etc. so they think this is why this happened. They said it had some genetic components too.
Sorry for your deep loss too.
      Kris

  24. Oh, I hate to hear this! I'm so sorry for your loss. She wasn't very old either! My neighbor across the street had a dog similar to your grand dog. She had to be put down last November for a similar reason. She was a breed similar to yours too (with long hair). I bet it is a breed problem.
